These are taken from the abandon Takakonuma Greenland Park of Japan. The park opened in 1973 and shut down only after two years of service; common lore says that the rides were due to many accidental deaths. It was reopened in 1986 and closed thirteen years later. The park is not located on any maps and is now surrounded by radiation due to the Fukushima meltdown after the tsunami.

Abandoned Theme Park
In Spreepark, Berlin lies the forgotten remnants of a once happier place. Cracked and peeling dinosaurs, as extinct as their forbears, rest next to unattended rollercoaster tracks and dormant ferris wheels. What could have happened to these modern day ruins, fallen from memory and disrepair? (I’m not saying it’s aliens, but… it’s aliens)
I have such boners for abandoned theme parks.
I like how that first picture is like, “AUUUGH MY LEG. MY LEG. AAAHHH WHY WOULD… WHY ARE YOU TAKING A PICTURE? HELP ME!!”
Macrophotography By Brian Valentine:
In his retired free time, former PhD Microbiologist Brian Valentine turned his attention and incredible talents to a love of macro photography. As a keen gardener, his backyard is filled with a plethora of photo subjects including insects and plants. In his very own backyard, Valentine uses Canon equipment to create these surreal scenes of images within images, reflections in water droplets that are all captured in camera. Valetine says macro photography, “allows [him] to explore a relatively unknown world full of fascination.”
